Each technical data sheet lists the spindle type, wharve diameter (mm), lift size (mm), insert or bolster, mechanical speed (RPM) and weight. How to read the data sheet columns

• Wharve dia. (mm): the diameter of the spindle wharve, the part the drive tape or belt runs on.
• Lift size (mm): the traverse of the ring rail, which sets the bobbin length the spindle winds.
• Insert / bolster: the bearing housing the spindle fits, listed by type such as HF-1, CS1 or HZ-3C.
• Speed - RPM (mechanical): the mechanical speed rating; the speed you reach also depends on yarn, ring and traveller.
• Weight in kgs (S.U.P): the weight figure as listed for each type.
